About the Institute

Sam Brown's Institute of Cosmetology is located in a 4000-square-foot facility and uses the most up-to-date materials available. It includes a large clinic work area, classroom, break area, laundry facilities, dispensary and storage room. Located in the Broadway Shopping Center, it provides spacious free parking for students, faculty and patrons.

Sam Brown's Institute of Cosmetology is owned by Sam Brown and Don Vander Pal.

Sam Brown

Sam Brown has been licensed in the field of cosmetology since 1985. In 1989 he became licensed as an instructor. In addition to being an instructor, Sam has managed and owned salons within the Mid-Missouri area. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and years of experience in successfully training and preparing students for an exciting and lucrative career in the cosmetology industry.

Don Vander Pal

Don Vander Pal has been involved in the cosmetology industry since 1976. He owned and managed a salon in Newport Beach, California, for 11 years. He moved to Columbia in 1987 and was co-owner of a salon in Columbia until 2004.

A Licensed Institute

Sam Brown's Institute of Cosmetology is licensed by the Missouri State Board of Cosmetology.
