The staff is simply wonderful. They really care about their students. I felt right at home during my time at the school. You couldn't ask for better people. They take great pride in what they do, and make enormous strides to ensure everyone succeeds.

The school has built a reputation to be proud of, because of that my employer felt confident in my ability to be successful. Attending SBI has allowed me to have a rewarding career in the industry for the past three years.

Upon graduating from Sam Brown's she pursued a career as a stylist at a local salon, Salon Envie.

My mom was a hairstylist so I grew up in the salon industry and it has always been my dream to follow in her footstpes, so when it came time to look for a cosmetology school I thought it was going to be difficult. I was wrong, the minute that I walked into Sam Brown's Institute of Cosmetology I knew it was where I was supposed to be.

I could not have asked for a better cosmetology school experience. As students we got to experience what it was like to actually work in a high-end salon, we used professional equipment, amazing stations and well-known products. Sam is a firm believer in advanced education and he brings in amazing educators in the industry so we could learn from the best.

Sam not only taught me how to pass my boards but he helped me find my passion, my professionalism, my never quit attitude and a knack for the smaller details.

Sam made us all feel like a team, a family and like a parent to a child only wanted to see us succeed. I cannot thank him enough for helping mold me into the stylist that I am today.

Because of the structure and discipline I practiced every day in school, I now have the tools needed to be a great cosmetologist and to build a lasting clientele. I try to show my clients the same personal attention and care that Sam showed me as a student.

I didn't just "go to beauty school" at Sam Brown's Institute. I received a thorough education that extended well beyond the fundamentals of cosmetology. I learned how to be a good employee and how to get along with my co-workers. I learned how to provide clients with a truly relaxing and satisfying experience. I learned to stay current by investing in further education and to never give up. It was often Sam's persistence and courage to overcome adversities in his own life that helped me to see my own strength. Not many stylists I have met since graduating can say that their educators were as invested in their students as those at Sam Brown's. This is what makes Sam Brown's Institute so exceptionally unique and impressive. I am so grateful to Sam's mother for the gift she passed on to her son and to Don Vander Pal for his support and partnership of Sam's dream, but most of all I am grateful for Sam Lanham. Grateful for always keeping the fire lit underneath me with his passion for this business and his compassion for all his students.

I loved my time at the school and miss all of the staff. I believe I received the most up-to-date training in the industry and would recommend any student wishing to pursue a career in the barber or cosmetology field to attend Sam Brown's Institute.

I had a job lined up at Fantastic Sam's hair salon within the week I graduated. I left feeling prepared for the industry, and so far, I've been prepared for just about anything thrown at me. Now I'm living in Osage Beach and I'm perfectly content. You're not going to find a better school or better instructors to teach you just about anything you need to know about hair and nails.
